2024 PRODUCT DISCLOSURE STATEMENT (PDS)

for

TLI41222 CERTIFICATE IV IN MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVER TRAINING (TLISS00235 - CAR MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVER TRAINING)

This product disclosure statement (PDS) is a guide for proposed applicants (students), informing them of their obligations and any additional specific terms and conditions that may be related to their enrolment into the course or qualification listed in this document.

This document also contains the proposed delivery plan which, together with the student enrolment form, becomes part of the student agreement between Intelligent Training Solutions (RTO: 22570) and the student named within this document.

Elements of this document will also assist the enrolling officer in gathering information required by the pre-training review (PTR).

This qualification can be completed in either a manual or automatic vehicle. If you are a proficient manual driver, we recommend that you complete this course in a manual vehicle. By completing this course in a manual vehicle, you will be issued with a full unrestricted Driving Instructors Authority allowing you to teach in either a manual or automatic vehicle.

If you are an automatic driver or would simply prefer to only teach in an automatic vehicle, then please select the automatic vehicle box below. By completing this course in an automatic vehicle, you will be restricted to delivering automatic driving lessons only. This condition will be reflected on your driving instructor authority.

PLEASE NOTE: You may have the option of switching vehicles during your course, however, Intelligent Training Solutions will not guarantee that this will be possible. Students who wish to change from an automatic vehicle to a manual vehicle, or vice versa, are subject to vehicle and trainer availability. If we are unable to facilitate your request to switch to a different category of vehicle, you will be required to complete your course in the category of vehicle you originally selected on this PDS.

If you choose to complete your course in a manual, then you MUST be able to confidently drive a manual vehicle. We have a lot of information to share with you on this course and therefore will not have the time to teach you how to drive a manual vehicle during your course.

If you are seeking an unrestricted DIA but cannot drive a manual, we recommend you take manual driving lessons with a qualified driving instructor prior to, or during your course. 

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

• Working pens and highlighters
• A4 lined workbook for taking notes
• 1 x 2D ring folder, 1 x presentation folder, 10 x plastic folder inserts (sheet protectors)
• An active and accessible email account
• Laptop computer (not required but useful) with the Google Chrome and Adobe PDF reader installed
• USB memory stick (minimum 4gig)
• Working camera (mobile phones can be used)
• UV rated sun-glasses, Sunscreen (50+), Sun hat and suitable shoes for driving.

You will be required to access the internet, your emails and our learner portal outside of scheduled classes. If you are a blended delivery or part-time student, you will also need to have access to a working computer at home that allows a connection to the internet.

COURSE TRAINING VENUE

The following training venue will be utilised at times, during the delivery of this course. Please make sure that you are familiar with this location.

ACCESS TO YOUR LEARNER PORTAL

Once your enrolment has been approved and processed, our administration team will create login credentials for your access to the I.T.S Learner Portal. You will receive these login credentials within your Welcome Email. The welcome email will contain instructions on how to access your course together with instruction on how to contact the student support team to arrange your first appointment with our trainers.

PLEASE NOTE: During your first appointment, you will be shown how to access the student portal and provided with a demonstration on how to navigate and use our system

COURSE ASSESSMENT METHODS

As this is a nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) course in Certificate IV, each unit of competence will be assessed. Each assessment within the course will be a competency-based assessment. Successful outcomes for this qualification will be determined by a range of different assessment methods including:

• Assessment or student workbooks
• Written assessments
• Observation of simulated practical activities
• Structured questioning and discussion
• Written or verbal questioning at the completion of each session.

STUDENT SUPPORT

Student support is a cornerstone of our organisation. Regardless if you are a full time, part-time or blended delivery student, you will always have access to our trainers and your student support liaison officers. Our support officers and trainers are available at our Training Centre Monday through Friday and on Saturday's by appointment. Whether you wish to engage our support and training services daily, once a week or in blocks, it is up to you.

For the first 16 weeks of your enrolment, you will have full unrestricted student support access. This level of support includes:

• The ability to attend all timetabled classes;
• Weekly one-on-one, face to face support sessions (by appointment);
• Live video conferencing support sessions (by appointment);
• Telephone support (by appointment);
• Email support

RESTRICTED SUPPORT ACCESS 

After your initial 16-week enrolment period, you will automatically be moved to ‘restricted support access’. This level of support includes:

• The ability to attend all timetabled theory classes;
• Telephone support (by appointment);
• Email support

We anticipate that you will complete your course within the designated timeframe. However, we understand that circumstances can vary. Accordingly, each student is allocated a maximum of six (6) months to complete this course.

During the initial 16 weeks of your enrollment, you will have access to full, unrestricted support. Please be aware that after this period, the level of support available to you will be limited.

Upon reaching the end of your six-month enrollment period, we will finalise and report your course results. If you find that you need additional time beyond the six months, or if you require continued access to full support and timetable classes after the initial 16-week period, you are welcome to apply for a course extension.

IMPORTANT: Our primary goal is to support you throughout your enrollment period to help you complete your studies as efficiently as possible. We understand that balancing study with a busy lifestyle can be challenging. Therefore, if you are unable to complete your course within the six-month timeframe, or if you need additional support after the 16-week mark, a course extension is designed to offer the extra time and assistance you might need.

At Intelligent Training Solutions, we can extend your enrollment expiry date according to your needs, up to a maximum extension period of 6 months.

Course extensions are available to anyone wishing to extend their course beyond their original course end date. A Course Extension fee of $150 per month is applicable.

AGREED PROGRAM DELIVERY

STUDENT PRE-TRAINING REVIEW QUESTIONS

Please note that the majority of the pre-training review (PTR) questions that we are required to ask by our regulators have already been answered via your enrolment form, therefore we will not be asking you to complete those questions again. Instead, below you will find a few additional questions that relate directly to this qualification.

This section of your agreement must be completed prior to your scheduled commencement or enrolment date so to allow our staff enough time to formulate a plan to best support you through this course should you need it.

Intelligent Training Solutions uses the answers collected by this pre-training questionnaire to ensure that you are only enrolled into a qualification that you can either successfully complete or that we can support you in so that you can achieve your intended goals and outcomes.

DIGITAL CAPABILITY

Our part-time and blended delivery courses require the student to use technology and based on your answer, would not suit your requirements.

PLEASE SELECT YOUR PREFERRED PAYMENT SCHEDULE 

PAYRIGHT

As mentioned above, a PayRight payment plan for this course can be taken over either a 12 or 24-month period. There is no interest charged to you on either plan, however, a one-off merchant and establishment fee plus GST will apply on top of the enrolment fee 

12 MONTH PAYMENT PLAN

For those interested in paying your course off over a 12 month period, a one-off 11.15% merchant fee inclusive of GST will be added to your enrolment fee.

24 MONTH PAYMENT PLAN 

For those interested in paying your course off over a 24 month period, a one-off 16.48% merchant fee inclusive of GST will be added to your enrolment fee. 

DIRECT DEBIT

DIRECT DEBIT FROM A SAVINGS ACCOUNT (RECOMMENDED OPTION)

When setting up a direct debit from a Savings account, your course enrolment fee will be split equally over your selected period of time. Intelligent Training Solutions will absorb the PayAdvantage $1.35 transaction fee.

DIRECT DEBIT FROM A CREDIT CARD

When setting up a direct debit from a Credit Card, as with the above option, your course enrolment fee will be split equally over your selected period of time. On top of the instalment amount, PayAdvantage will add a $1.35 transaction fee plus a 1.87% credit card processing fee. 

WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE INSUFFICIENT FUNDS IN MY ACCOUNT?

If your account has insufficient funds on the day of processing a $5.50 dishonour fee plus the standard transaction and/or processing fees will be charged to your account. PayAdvantage will attempt to re-debt your account within 3 days from the date of the failed attempt.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER FEES ASSOCIATED WITH PAY ADVANTAGE (DIRECT DEBIT)?

No. Unless you select to receive emails or text message notifications from Pay Advantage reminding you about upcoming payments, there are no additional charges or fees associated with Pay Advantage. All email and text message reminders are turned off by default.

OTHER FEES AND CHARGES

As part of your enrolment in this course, you will be given unlimited access to your course on our learner portal. You will also have unlimited access to student support, face-to-face appointments and our live webinars as per the arrangement within this document.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION BEFORE ENROLLING!

1. You acknowledge that I.T.S. offers ALL students a 24-hour cooling-off period whereby you can change your mind and withdraw from this course without Penalty. The cooling-off period commences from the electronic submission of this PDS document. Do not complete this document if you still need time to consider enrolling in this course. 
2. You MUST acknowledge that once your first payment (or instalment payment) has been made, I.T.S WILL NOT REFUND ANY PART OF THE COURSE ENROLMENT FEES should you choose to withdraw from this course FOR ANY REASON. 
3. It is important to note that additional fees and charges will apply to students who do not attend scheduled support sessions, scheduled drive days or events without providing 48 hours’ notice.

• $100 per hour fee is charged for failing to attend a theory or support session without sufficient notice.
• $400 per session fee is charged for failing to attend a practical in-vehicle driving session without sufficient notice.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

By ticking the boxes below and signing the bottom of this program delivery agreement, you will be entering into a contract with Intelligent Training Solutions Pty Ltd (RTO: 22570) for the delivery of the qualification listed within this agreement and selected on your enrolment form. This PDS together with your enrolment will form the foundation of your terms and conditions for enrolment into this qualification.

From time to time, we may amend our terms and conditions or the terms of this agreement, however, if such an amendment is required, we will notify you in writing of any proposed changes before they take effect.

Once you have accepted this agreement and have made arrangements for your course fees, we will be in touch with you to provide you with access to the ITS student portal and arrange your first face to face session with your trainer.
