PRODUCT DISCLOSURE STATEMENT (PDS) WITH STATEMENT OF FEES

for

TLI41225 CERTIFICATE IV IN MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVER TRAINING (TLISS00233 - HEAVY VEHICLE DRIVER TRAINING)

This product disclosure statement (PDS) is a guide for students enrolling in the TLI41225 Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training (Heavy Vehicle Stream), informing them of their obligations and highlighting the specific enrolment terms and conditions that are related to their enrolment into this qualification.

This document also contains the Proposed Delivery Plan and the Statement of Fees, which, together with the student enrolment form, become part of the student agreement between Intelligent Training Solutions (RTO: 22570) and the student named within this document.

Elements of this document will also assist the enrolling officer in gathering information required by the pre-training review (PTR) requirements and the ACSF LLN Requirements.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

• Working pens and highlighters
• A4 lined workbook for taking notes
• 1 x 2D ring folder, 1 x presentation folder, 10 x plastic folder inserts (sheet protectors)
• An active and accessible email account
• Laptop computer (not required but useful) with the Google Chrome and Adobe PDF reader installed
• USB memory stick (minimum 4gig)
• Working camera (mobile phones can be used)
• UV rated sun-glasses, Sunscreen (50+), Sun hat and suitable shoes for driving.

You will be required to access the internet, your emails and our learner portal outside of scheduled classes. If you are a blended delivery or part-time student, you will also need to have access to a working computer at home that allows a connection to the internet.

COURSE TRAINING VENUE

The following training venue will be utilised at times, during the delivery of this course. Please make sure that you are familiar with this location.

ACCESS TO YOUR STUDENT PORTAL

Once your enrolment has been approved and processed, our administration team will create your login credentials for the I.T.S Learner Portal. You will receive these details in your Welcome Email, which will also include:

• Instructions on how to log in to the Learner Portal, and download the Moodle App.

• Guidance on how to complete your LLN indication assessment (required before starting your course materials).

• Information on how to contact the Student Support Team to arrange your first appointment with our trainers.

Please note: During your first appointment, you will be shown how to access the Learner Portal and provided with a demonstration on how to navigate and use our system. This ensures you are confident in accessing your course materials, support resources, and communication tools.

COURSE ASSESSMENT METHODS

As this is a nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) course in Certificate IV, each unit of competence will be assessed. Each assessment within the course will be a competency-based assessment. Successful outcomes for this qualification will be determined by a range of different assessment methods including:

• Assessment or student workbooks
• Written assessments
• Observation of simulated practical activities
• Structured questioning and discussion
• Written or verbal questioning at the completion of each session.

STUDENT SUPPORT

Student support is a cornerstone of our organisation. Regardless of whether you are a full-time, part-time or blended delivery student, you will always have access to our trainers and your student support liaison officers. Our support officers and trainers are available at our Training Centre Monday through Friday and on Saturday's by appointment. Whether you wish to engage our support and training services daily, once a week or in blocks, it is up to you.

You will have full unrestricted student support access for the first 4.5 weeks of your enrolment. This level of support includes:

• The ability to attend all timetabled classes (face-to-face / online - live streamed / recorded webinars);
• Face-to-face support sessions (face-to-face / online - live streamed / recorded webinars);
• Live video conferencing support sessions outside of class times (within working hours) (by appointment);
• Telephone support outside of class time (within working hours) (by appointment);
• Email support

RESTRICTED SUPPORT ACCESS  After your initial 4.5-week enrolment period, for those who may need extra time, you will enter the 3.5-week personal study period. These three and a half weeks will provide you with ‘restricted support access’. This level of support includes:

• Telephone support (by appointment) - Additional costs may apply; 
• Live video conferencing support sessions outside of class times (within working hours) (by appointment) - Additional costs may apply; or
• Email support (FREE)

COURSE EXTENSIONS 

We expect students to complete this course within the designated timeframe. However, we understand that circumstances may vary. Each student is allocated a maximum of eight weeks to complete the course.

You will have full, unrestricted support during the first 4.5 weeks of scheduled classes. Please note that after this period, the level of support available will be limited.

At the end of your eight-week enrolment period, we will finalise and report your course results; however, if you require additional time beyond the eight weeks, you may apply for a course extension.

HOW COURSE EXTENSIONS WORK

• A course extension does not provide unlimited free support, but ensures continued access to your learner portal so you can complete any outstanding work.
• Each one-month extension includes 1 hour of student support, allocated in 15-minute blocks.
• A maximum of six one-month extensions can be granted.

COURSE EXTENSION FEES

Course extensions are available to anyone wishing to extend their course beyond their original course end date. A Course Extension fee of $150 per month is applicable; this includes 1 hour of student support.

PROPOSED DELIVERY AGREEMENT BETWEEN INTELLIGENT TRAINING SOLUTIONS AND YOU

AGREED ON PROGRAM DELIVERY

In other words, Intelligent Training Solutions will deliver on the units of competency (subjects) you select below, at the price listed below, within the time frame listed in this document. In the event of a price increase, your enrolment fee is locked in for the duration of your course providing that you have commenced with your course AND you have not reached the intended course end (expiry) date.    

STUDENT PRE-TRAINING REVIEW QUESTIONS

Please note that the majority of the pre-training review (PTR) questions that we are required to ask by our regulators have already been answered via your enrolment form, therefore we will not be asking you to complete those questions again. Instead, below you will find a few additional questions that relate directly to this qualification.

This section of your agreement must be completed prior to your scheduled commencement or enrolment date so to allow our staff enough time to formulate a plan to best support you through this course should you need it.

Intelligent Training Solutions uses the answers collected by this pre-training questionnaire to ensure that you are only enrolled into a qualification that you can either successfully complete or that we can support you in so that you can achieve your intended goals and outcomes.

DIGITAL CAPABILITY

Our part-time and blended delivery courses require the student to use technology and based on your answer, would not suit your requirements.

PLEASE SELECT YOUR PREFERRED PAYMENT SCHEDULE 

PAYRIGHT

As mentioned above, a PayRight payment plan for this course can be taken over either a 12 or 24-month period. There is no interest charged to you on either plan; however, a one-off merchant and establishment fee plus GST will apply on top of the enrolment fee 

12-MONTH PAYMENT PLAN

For those interested in paying their course off over a 12-month period, a one-off 13.36% merchant fee inclusive of GST will be added to their enrolment fee.

24-MONTH PAYMENT PLAN 

For those interested in paying their course off over a 24-month period, a one-off 18.96% merchant fee inclusive of GST will be added to their enrolment fee.

DIRECT DEBIT

DIRECT DEBIT FROM A SAVINGS ACCOUNT (RECOMMENDED OPTION)

When setting up a direct debit from a Savings account, your course enrolment fee will be split equally over your selected period of time. Intelligent Training Solutions will absorb the PayAdvantage $1.98 transaction fee.

DIRECT DEBIT FROM A CREDIT CARD

When setting up a direct debit from a Credit Card, as with the above option, your course enrolment fee will be split equally over your selected period of time. On top of the instalment amount, PayAdvantage will add a $1.35 transaction fee plus a 1.87% credit card processing fee. 

WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE INSUFFICIENT FUNDS IN MY ACCOUNT?

If your account has insufficient funds on the day of processing a $6.82 dishonour fee plus the standard transaction and/or processing fees will be charged to your account. PayAdvantage will attempt to re-debt your account within 3 days from the date of the failed attempt. Dishonour fees will be on-charged.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER FEES ASSOCIATED WITH PAY ADVANTAGE (DIRECT DEBIT)?

No. Unless you select to receive emails or text message notifications from Pay Advantage reminding you about upcoming payments, there are no additional charges or fees associated with Pay Advantage. OTHER FEES AND CHARGES

As part of your enrolment in this course, you will be given unlimited access to your course on our learner portal. You will also have unlimited access to student support, face-to-face appointments, and our live webinars as per the arrangement in this document.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION BEFORE ENROLLING!

1. You acknowledge that I.T.S. offers ALL students a 24-hour cooling-off period whereby you can change your mind and withdraw from this course without Penalty. The cooling-off period commences from the electronic submission of this PDS document. Do not complete this document if you still need to consider enrolling in this course. 
2. By signing this form, you acknowledge that once your first payment, or instalment payment, has been made, I.T.S WILL NOT REFUND ANY PART OF THE COURSE ENROLMENT FEES should you choose to withdraw from this course FOR ANY REASON. 
3. It is important to note that additional fees will apply to students who do not attend scheduled support sessions, scheduled drive days or events without providing 48 hours’ notice.

• $30 per 15-minute block fee is charged for failing to attend a theory or support session without sufficient notice.
• $250 per-session fee is charged for failing to attend a practical in-vehicle driving session without sufficient notice.

Additional Support & Training Options

At Intelligent Training Solutions, we are committed to providing a comprehensive and structured learning experience within our Heavy Vehicle Driving Instructor Course. While we believe that the training included in this course is sufficient for most students, we also acknowledge that everyone learns at their own pace. Some individuals may wish to engage in additional support or practical training.

For those who require or prefer extra assistance, we offer the following optional support services at an additional cost:

• Student Support – Available in 15-minute blocks at $30 per 15 minutes.
• Practical Training – Available in 1-hour sessions at $180 per hour.

These options provide flexibility and tailored support for students who want additional guidance beyond the standard course structure. If you feel that extra support or training would benefit your learning experience, our team is here to help.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

By ticking the boxes below and signing the bottom of this program delivery agreement, you will be entering into a contract with Intelligent Training Solutions Pty Ltd (RTO: 22570) for the delivery of the qualification listed within this agreement and selected on your enrolment form. This PDS together with your enrolment will form the foundation of your terms and conditions for enrolment into this qualification.

From time to time, we may amend our terms and conditions or the terms of this agreement, however, if such an amendment is required, we will notify you in writing of any proposed changes before they take effect.

Once you have accepted this agreement and have made arrangements for your course fees, we will be in touch with you to provide you with access to the ITS student portal and arrange your first face to face session with your trainer.
