  • About this guide

    This product disclosure statement (PDS) is a guide for proposed applicants (students), informing them of their obligations and any additional specific terms and conditions that may be related to their enrolment into the course or qualification listed in this document.

    This document also contains the proposed delivery plan which, together with the student enrolment form, becomes part of the student agreement between Intelligent Training Solutions (RTO: 22570) and the student named within this document.

    Elements of this document will also assist the enrolling officer in gathering information required by the pre-training review (PTR).

Course placements are issued provisionally and subject to the satisfactory completion of all government visa formalities, institute regulations and payment of fees and charges as indicated further in this document. This PDS will also provide you with a statement of fees.

  • COURSE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • It is recommended that you possess the following personal skills before enrolling into this qualificaiton:
  • NOTE: You will be required to complete an LLN indication assessment prior to your enrolment being finalised. If you have any concerns about the LLN assessment, please speak with us first as we are always happy to help. Students who demonstrate LLN skills that are below a Level 3 can still participate and successfully complete this course, however, you will be encouraged to join our full-time or part-time course to ensure that our staff can provide you with the LLN support you may require.

  • REQUIRED STUDENT RESOURCES, TEXTBOOKS AND EQUIPMENT

  • RESOURCES, TEXTBOOKS AND REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

    As part of your enrolment into this skill set, we will provide you with electronic copies of all your required resources and textbooks, as well as a hard copy of your student handout materials and student assessments in a course folder. 

    Course folders will be sent via Australia Parcel Post once your enrolment has been approved and your first payment instalment received.

    Other textbooks such as the subject learner guides can be purchased on our website: https://www.its.vic.edu.au/store/ by selecting the 'Publications' menu item from the store menu. 

  • REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

    You will require the following equipment to successfully participate in this course:

    • Working pens and highlighters
    • A4 lined workbook for taking notes
    • 1 x 2D ring folder, 1 x presentation folder, 10 x plastic folder inserts (sheet protectors)
    • An active and accessible email account
    • Laptop computer (not required but useful) with the Google Chrome and Adobe PDF reader installed
    • USB memory stick (minimum 4gig)
    • Working camera (mobile phones can be used)
    • UV rated sun-glasses, Sunscreen (50+), Sun hat and suitable shoes for driving

    Outside of scheduled class times, you will be required to access the internet, your emails and our student portal. If you are a blended delivery or part-time student, you will also need to have access to a working computer at home that allows a connection to the internet.

    Once your enrolment has been approved and processed, our administration team will create login credentials for your access to the I.T.S Student Portal. You will receive these login credentials within your Welcome Email. This email will contain instructions on how to access your course together with instruction on how to contact the student support team to arrange your first appointment with our trainers.

    PLEASE NOTE: During your first appointment, you will be shown how to access the student portal and provided with a demonstration on how to navigate and use our system

  • ASSESSMENT METHODS USED ON THIS COURSE

  • COURSE ASSESSMENT METHODS

    As this is a nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) course in Certificate IV, each unit of competence will be assessed. Each assessment within the course will be a competency-based assessment. Successful outcomes for this qualification will be determined by a range of different assessment methods including:

    • Assessment or student workbooks
    • Written assessments
    • Observation of simulated practical activities
    • Structured questioning and discussion
    • Written or verbal questioning at the completion of each session.

  • ACCESS TO STUDENT SUPPORT

  • STUDENT SUPPORT

    Student support is a cornerstone of our organisation. Regardless if you are a full time, part-time or blended delivery student, you will always have access to our trainers and your student support liaison officers. Our support officers and trainers are available at our Training Centre Monday through Friday and on Saturday's by appointment. Whether you wish to engage our support and training services daily, once a week or in blocks, it is up to you.

  • FULL UNRESTRICTED SUPPORT ACCESS

    For the first 4 weeks of your enrolment, you will have full unrestricted student support access. This level of support includes:

    • The ability to attend all timetabled classes;
    • Weekly one-on-one, face to face support sessions (by appointment);
    • Live video conferencing support sessions (by appointment);
    • Telephone support (by appointment);
    • Email support
    RESTRICTED SUPPORT ACCESS  After your initial 4-week enrolment period, you will automatically be moved to ‘restricted support access’. This level of support includes:
    • The ability to attend all timetabled theory classes;
    • Telephone support (by appointment);
    • Email support

    For those students who wish to have full unrestricted support access after their initial 4-week enrolment period, we do have a course extension program. Information on this program can be found further along within this agreement.

  • We have fixed student support times as well as the ability to generate a support service at any time by appointment. Support for this qualification is available during the following times:

    PHONE and EMAIL* Tuesday through Saturday - 8.30 am to 5.00 pm
    ONLINE VIDEO CONFERENCE Available by appointment six days a week – Support days subject to booking availability
    FACE TO FACE Available by appointment six days a week – Support days subject to booking availability.
    *NOTE: Responses to email support requests will occur during the times stated above, however, responses may be delayed by up to 24-48 hours at times. If your support enquiry is urgent we recommend calling us.

  • COURSE EXTENSION OPTIONS (IF REQUIRED)

  • COURSE EXTENSION PROGRAM

    Although we expect you to be able to complete your course within the timeframe stated above, each enrolled student will have a maximum of four (4) months in which to complete this Skill Set. As stated on the previous page, in the first 4 weeks of your enrolment you will be provided with full unrestricted support access, this access will be limited after the initial 4-week enrolment period. 

    At the end of your four-month enrolment period, your course results will be finalised, and results entered and reported. If you wish to extend your enrolment period beyond the four months OR if you wish to have full unrestricted access to student support after your initial 4-week period, you will be required to apply for a course extension. Information on course extensions can be found below.

    PLEASE NOTE: We will always prefer to work with you during your enrolment period to assist you in getting through your study as quickly as you can, however, we completely understand how difficult it can be to fit study into a hectic lifestyle so, in the event, you are unable to complete your course within the four-month timeframe or should you require additional support after your initial 4-week enrolment period, we have an extension program in place which will provide you with a little extra time and support.

    Intelligent Training Solutions can extend your enrolment expiry date in line with your required timeframe.

  • STANDARD EXTENSIONS

    Standards extension are available to anyone wishing to extend their course at a fee of $125 per month.

  • NON-STANDARD EXTENSIONS

    If you wish to apply for a waiver of the standard extension fee of $125 per month due to extreme hardship, extenuating circumstances, or a debilitating medical condition you like to apply for a Non-Standard Extension.

  • PROPOSED DELIVERY AGREEMENT BETWEEN INTELLIGENT TRAINING SOLUTIONS AND YOU

    AGREED PROGRAM DELIVERY

  • Based on your responses below, the following will form the basis of the agreed program delivery between yourself and Intelligent Training Solutions. An agreed delivery plan is considered a live document that changes and evolves with you as you progress through this Skill Set, however, its existence signifies the minimum delivery requirement agreed upon between both yourself and us.

    In other words, based on your choices below, Intelligent Training Solutions will deliver the units of competency (subjects) you select at the price and within the time frame listed below.

    *Depending on students prior knowledge and experience within a field of study, students may not require the full length of hours stated within the table above to complete a unit. In most cases, the lower the AQTF level of a unit, the more chance there is of a student having existing knowledge in that field. The hours represented within this table are the maximum hours allowed for the delivery and assessment of these units.  

  • If you have not yet had the opportunity to discuss RPL or Mutual Recognition, our course coordinator will be in contact with you prior to enrolment with additional information on what skills recognition is and the process involved should you wish to apply.
    Intelligent Training Solutions will consider any credit transfer or exemptions for previous studies or industry experience you have obtained. This may be from formal or informal training, paid or unpaid work experience. Before signing this document, please take the opportunity to discuss any RPL or DCT opportunities with your enrolling officer. This is not your final opportunity to apply for RPL or DCT. You may apply at any stage during your course. For more information visit our website.
    To apply for Mutual Recognition, you must hold the identical unit of competency issued by an RTO.
    You MUST provide evidence that you hold the identical unit of competence by way of a Statement of Attainment issued by an Australian RTO before being granted a credit transfer.

  • PRE TRAINING REVIEW QUESTIONS

  • STUDENT PRE-TRAINING REVIEW QUESTIONS

    Please note that the majority of the pre-training review (PTR) questions that we are required to ask by our regulators have already been answered via your enrolment form, therefore we will not be asking you to complete those questions again. Instead, below you will find a few additional questions that relate directly to this qualification.

    This section of your agreement must be completed prior to your scheduled commencement or enrolment date so to allow our staff enough time to formulate a plan to best support you through this course should you need it.

    Intelligent Training Solutions uses the answers collected by this pre-training questionnaire to ensure that you are only enrolled into a qualification that you can either successfully complete or that we can support you in so that you can achieve your intended goals and outcomes.

  • DIGITAL CAPABILITY

  • You have said that you are NOT comfortable with using any type of technology. If this is the case that please ensure you have enrolled into our full-time course.

    Our part-time and blended delivery courses require the student to use technology and based on your answer, would not suit your requirements.

  • PAYMENT OPTIONS

  • PayAdvantage is an independent third-party Australian provider used by Intelligent Training Solutions to provide you with a direct debit option. Using PayAdvantage you can select to have your course enrolment fees direct debited from an Australian bank account or credit card of your choice.

    By selecting this option, we will set up an automated direct debit with payments to be taken out weekly, fortnightly or monthly depending on your personal preference. All our direct debits are processed by PayAdvantage (https://www.payadvantage.com.au/)

    By using the PayAdvantage system, you will save yourself from incurring late fees while providing yourself with the options to have your enrolment fees spread over a 16 or 24 week period. If you intend to use the direct debit system for your enrolment fees, please select your preferred option below:

  • DIRECT DEBIT

    To assist us with setting up your direct debit, please answer the following questions.

    DIRECT DEBIT FROM A SAVINGS ACCOUNT (RECOMMENDED OPTION)

    When setting up a direct debit from a Savings account, your course enrolment fee will be split equally over your selected period of time. On top of the instalment amount, PayAdvantage will add a $1.35 transaction fee.

    DIRECT DEBIT FROM A CREDIT CARD

    When setting up a direct debit from a Credit Card, as with the above option, your course enrolment fee will be split equally over your selected period of time. On top of the instalment amount, PayAdvantage will add a $1.35 transactions fee plus a 1.87% credit card processing fee 

    WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE INSUFFICIENT FUNDS IN MY ACCOUNT?

    If your account has insufficient funds on the day of processing a $5.50 dishonour fee plus the standard transaction and/or processing fees will be charged to your account. PayAdvantage will attempt to re-debt your account in 3 days from the date of the failed attempt.

  • With our Pay On Invoice option, your course fees will be invoiced to you in equal instalments across 4 or 8 weeks. Your first invoice will be due in seven (7) days from the date of your enrolment, however, you are welcome to make payment sooner should you wish to get started in your course. The remaining instalments will be spread one month apart from the date of your first invoice.

    It is important to note that Intelligent Training Solutions will send you ALL of your invoices at once. The task of paying your invoices in the correct order AND paying on time remains your responsibility. We recommend that:

    • You make payment by the due date for each invoice. (Each of the invoices will have a different due date). Failure to make payment on or by the due date will result in a late payment fee being added to your account. NO EXCEPTIONS.
    • You make payment on the invoice in sequential order. Example: INV 4901, 4902, 4903.

    Pay by Invoice: Terms and Conditions:

    • A $50.00 late payment fee will be applied to any invoice paid beyond the due date. NO EXCEPTIONS
    • In the event your invoice is more than 30 days late, Prushka Fast Debt Recovery debt collection agency will be engaged. All associated costs involved from engaging this agency will be added to your account. This is generally 40% of the outstanding value of your invoice.

    As part of your enrolment into this course, you will be given unlimited access to your course on our student portal. You will also have unlimited access to student support, face to face appointments and our live webinars as per the arrangement within this document.

    It is important to note that additional fees or charges will apply to students who do not attend scheduled support sessions, scheduled drive days or events without providing 48 hours’ notice.

    Failing to attend a scheduled appointment or drive sessions without providing us with 48 hours’ notice costs the course and our training organisation money and takes away valuable time and resources from other students in your class. The following fees and charges will apply to any student to fails to attend an appointment or training sessions without 24 hours’ notice.

    • $180 per hour fee is charged for failing to attend a theory or support sessions without sufficient notice.
    • $360 per session fee is charged for failing to attend a practical in-vehicle driving session without sufficient notice.
    PLEASE NOTE: You can cancel or change your appointment anytime up to 48 hours prior to your appointment time. To change your appointment, call 03 5415 0214 or text 0457976531. This information will be sent to you again in your welcome letter.

  • As part of your enrolment, you will need to provide 100 points of Identification. All ID documents must be either certified by a Justice of the Peace (Police Officer, Pharmacist, Accountant etc...) or be witnessed by one of our own enrolment officers.

      From time to time, we may amend our terms and conditions or the terms of this agreement, however, if such an amendment is required, we will notify you in writing of any proposed changes before they take effect.

      Once you have accepted this agreement and have made arrangements for your course fees, we will be in touch with you to provide you with access to the ITS student portal and arrange your first face to face session with your trainer.
